The Fundación Andaluza Fondo de Formación y Empleo, a public non profit foundation, was created by government resolution in January 2003, and operates through the Regional Ministry of Employment of the Autonomous Government as a regional tool working under efficiency, transparency and public control criteria.

The aim of the Foundation is the promotion of the Andalusian productive network through the improvement mainly of the local industrial sector, and through the human resources’ professional qualification, the development of programmes dealing with the promotion of employment and technical assistance to companies in the fields of training and employment.

Even though its short life -it was created in 2003- the commitment of the Department of Employment, and the motivation of its 1,200 employees, have allowed it to become a clear reference in our society. The ratio training and employment has made possible, on the one hand, the creation of specialized services, able to be adapted to the continuing changes of the citizens’ qualification demand; and, on the other hand, the development of specific programmes supporting labour integration and employment stability.

Every part of this report consolidates our idea of continuing working with the aim of offering services to the Andalousian population with a high level of quality. But it also reflects the will of making wider our horizon, establishing new action lines that highlight even more our presence in highly interesting social projects, which, furthermore, go beyond our autonomous community, if needed, bringing our achievements to other national or international contexts, transferring knowledge and cooperating mainly with other agents that work in Southamerica, Central America and Northern Africa.
